Atiku, PDP G5 will soon reconcile – Imoke
Former Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State, currently, Deputy Director-General, Operations, of the Atiku /Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, in Calabar, Cross River State, assured that the five governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the PDPG5, would soon drop the agitations and reintegrate into the PDP. He said that efforts are being made to resolve the disagreement of the five governors, who include Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, with the PDP leadership.
Imoke at a consultative meeting of PDP stakeholders in Calabar Municipality and Calabar South local government areas, noted that the PDP will be facing serious risk and threat if the G5 insist on mobilising votes in their states for the presidential candidate of another party in the 2023 elections. He maintained that negotiations are going on to ensure unity in the party.
