Are you often left embarrassed because of bad breath? Mouth fresheners assist in fighting bad breath, and they are like your quick fix for killing the smell, after a heavy meal. There are various types of natural mouth fresheners available in your kitchen cupboard, and they are easy to carry.

Try one of these bad breath remedies:

1. Salt water rinse

A natural way to freshen your breath immediately is to use salt water to rinse your mouth. Simply add some salt to a glass of warm water, mix it well, swish the solution around your mouth and teeth for 30 seconds and repeat. Bad smell gone!

2. Fennel

Fennel contains antimicrobial properties that combat the bacteria in the mouth, thereby curbing bad breath. Simply chew on a teaspoon of fennel to freshen your breath, or drink fennel tea- teaspoons of fennel seeds steeped in a cup of hot water for 10 minutes a couple of times a day.

3. Cinnamon

Boil one teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup of water, strain the solution and rinse your mouth with it. For best results, try this every morning.

4. Fenugreek

Fenugreek tea works brilliantly for bad breath. Boil a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a cup of water, strain and drink this tea once daily till you get rid of the problem.

5. Cloves

Clove is another natural freshener and also has antibacterial properties that help keep bacteria in your mouth in check. Just pop a few pieces of cloves into your mouth and chew them thoroughly, this will get rid of bad breath immediately.

6. Lemon Juice

The acidic content in lemon prevents growth of bacteria in your mouth. In addition, its strong, pleasant smell helps mask the bad smell. Just stir one tablespoon of lemon juice and some salt right into a cup of water and rinse your mouth with it.
