Bandits on rampage, kill 5 farmers, burn houses in Plateau
Bandits in the early hours of Friday went on rampage in Plateau State, killing five farmers in renewed operations in Mangu Local Government Area.
The bandits were said to have struck at Kogul community in the early hours of Friday. They were said to have invaded the community at about 2.00am on Friday, shooting.
The bandits beside killing five farmers, they were said to have burnt houses in the operation.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Command, Alfred Alabo, confirming the attack, was said to have disclosed that the Command has deployed officers to the scene and have brought the situation under control.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State was said to have condemned the bandits invasion, mandating security agencies to go after the bandits and ensure they face the full wrath of the law.
