Breaking: 8 members impeached Plateau Assembly Speaker

Eight members of the Plateau State House of Assembly has impeached the Speaker, Hon. Abok Ayuba.

The eight members made their way to the House as early as 6am Thursday to carry out the impeachment.

Report had it that the usual security personnel at the House of Assembly were changed the night leading to the impeachment.

The new security personnel deployed to the House however prevented staff working in the Assembly from gaining access to the premises until the impeachment process was concluded.

As of the time of filling this report, the House Assembly has been sealed by Operatives of the DSS and men of the Nigeria Police.

Our correspondent reports that there has been report in the last few days of the move to remove the Speaker.
