Breaking: Secondus loses bid to stop PDP convention
The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Friday gave the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) the judicial clearance to hold its national convention.
This followed the court’s dismissal of an appeal by the suspended National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus.
Secondus had approached the court of appeal to challenge his removal as chairman.
He also sought an order of injunction restraining the PDP from holding its national convention scheduled for October 30th and 31st.
The convention is scheduled for Abuja this weekend. With this ruling, the coast is now clear for the convention where a successor will be elected to replace Secondus.
