Buhari delegates Nigeria’s accountant-general, others to mourn his late praise-singer
President Muhammadu Buhari has delegated his men to console the family of Hausa poet and singer, Isyaku ‘Forest’ Mohammed who created campaign songs for Buhari and the APC.
The Nigerian leader described his passing as a great loss to “political and cultural heritage”.
Buhari’s message was delivered to the deceased’s family by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media.
The President said Forest’s music “enthralled followers who kept faith with the party”.
“He will forever remain in our thoughts. My condolences to his family, friends and admirers”, he added.
Speaking through Hajiya Habiba, the mother, Dauda Kahutu (Rarara) and Yusuf Haruna (Baban Chinedu), two foremost singers, the family thanked Buhari for standing with them.
Others on the presidential delegation were Ahmed Idris, Accountant-General of the Federation and Faruk Adamu Aliyu, APC leader in Jigawa.
