Cannavaro: Give Inter and Milan time
By Boluwatife Ezekiel Ezekiel
Former Italy international and world cup winner, Fabio Cannavaro believes his former clubs Inter and Milan need time before they can challenge for honours in the Serie A.
The San Siro clubs have both played a backseat role to Juventus, who are looking to win a seventh straight scudetto.
An influx of clash from Chinese owners has helped both Inter and Milan acquire top players in the off season, with Inter level on points with Juve, while the Rossoneri sit in seventh on the table.
However, Cannavaro believes ththe fans need to exercise patience a day is confident the clubs will get better with time.
“They have financial resources and they will always be fighting for the biggest objectives,” Tianjin Quanjian head coach Cannavaro told Premium Sport.
“But it will need time in order for them to organise themselves.
“Napoli, for example, have arrived at their level after 10-12 years.”
