Smugglers buying petrol in jerrycans from a tanker sparked of a flame that eventually blew up the tanker, and led to a huge fire ball at Kasuwan Gyeal, Mubi, Adamawa, on Wednesday.

No fewer than three people died, and about 50 tricycles burnt down in the inferno.

Small-time smugglers of petrol products hve been lying such trade across the Nigerian border with Cameroon.

Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), Dr Mohammed Sulaiman, said three people died while two others were on hospital admission.
