Church activities banned inside Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium – Okechi
Enugu state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Vitus Okechi, has asked the Zonal Coordinator (South East) of the National Sports Commission (NSC) to stop further activities that are not connected to sports from taking place at the Indoor Sports Hall at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium from taken place.
Okechi gave the directive while expressing displeasure at the way church programmes and other non-sports activities have been allowed to hold inside the facility.
The commissioner disclosed that the state government has concluded plans to rehabilitate the roof of the hall to enable it have athletes carry out their activities.
