Confine FC dismisses Rickmart Soccer Academy in Aiteo Cup Rookie stage
Confine Fc of Uyo are through to the round of Sixty four in this year Aiteo Cup, Confine Fc beat neighbors RickyMart Soccer Academy of Cross River by Six goals to one in the rookie stage of the Aiteo Cup at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa,National Daily.
Abasiama Michel recorded the first hattrick of the Aiteo Cup in the first half of the game.
RickyMart Soccer Academy took the lead early in the first half but were unable to hold on to the game.
Confine Fc took full control of the game after RickyMart Soccer Academy relinquish lead through Abasiama Michel’s leveller with victory meaning that the Ikot-Ekpene outfit will compete in the round of Sixty four (64)
After the encounter Technical Adviser of RickyMart Fc John Aniaha Jnr said he loss the game due to fatigue and inability of his side to arrive early in Yenagoa.
RickyMart Soccer Academy Captain Emmanuel Ekpai also attributed the defeat to fatigue for not having a enough time rest before the game.
Technical Adviser of Confine Fc Daniel Japheth said his proud of his players despite participating in the tournament for the first time.
Hattrick hero Abasiama Michel thanked his teammates for the collective effort put in place to achieve the feat however promised to score more goals as the competition progresses.
