Deepening tension in APC: Buhari holds emergency meeting with Saraki, Governors
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is engulfed in deepening tension as reports of mass defection spread across the country. The deepening crisis has put the party leadership under pressure to restore confidence in APC members.
In about 24 hours the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, had a meeting with National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilorin, Kwara State, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, held an emergency meeting at the State House with Saraki, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and some APC Governors from Katsina, Kebbi, Zamfara, Ogun states including the Governor-elect in Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
However, details of their deliberations were not disclosed.
Senate President Saraki declined comments after stepping out of the meeting venue.
