Dual citizenship: Tinubu commits perjury, Hundeyin insists
Controversial investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, says President-elect Bola Tinubu should be arrested following discovery that he has dual citizenship, and the fact that he lied on his EC9 form that has no other citizenship.
It would be recalled that the controversial journalist had last week published the data page of Bola Tinubu’s alleged Guinea citizenship passport.
While speaking on online programme 90MinutesAfrica hosted by Rudolf Okonkwo on Sunday, Hundeyin insisted that Bola Tinubu committed perjury by lying on his EC9 form that he has no other citizenship.
Hundeyin explained that this crime attracts a 14 years jail term under Nigerian law.

“In the form EC9, which is a sworn affidavit, there is a question that asks if the candidate has obtained citizenship of another country. It requires a simple yes or no answer.
“Tinubu clearly ticked ‘no’- that he has not acquired citizenship of another country. But there is prima facie evidence that he did acquire citizenship of another country and fairly recently as well. So he lied under oath, which is perjury, and under the Nigerian constitution, it’s punishable with 14 years’ imprisonment,” he explained.
You would also recall that Babatunde Fashola while fielding questions on Channels Television claimed that dual citizenship does not disqualify Bola Tinubu.
In reaction, David Hundeyin clarified that the crime is lying under oath in a sworn affidavit.
It is confirmed that after the interviewed was published on YouTube, the Bola Tinubu’s foot soldiers have also influenced YouTube to take down Rudolf Okonkwo’s video of the interview with David Hundeyin on Dr. Damages YouTube account after accusing it of violating community guidelines policy called “harassment and cyberbullying.”
