Eagle Square, Abuja, bubbles for PDP National Convention
The Eagles Square, Abuja, Federals Capital Territory (FCT), has been cleared for the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to elect new members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on Saturday into Sunday. The venue has been cleaned up to improve the sanitation of the environment, as well as the security system.
The PDP sustained their preparations for the Saturday National Convention while the judgement of the Court of Appeal on a suit to stop the convention filed by former PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, was being awaited on Friday after Thursday’ hearing
The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in the judgment threw out the appeal by Secondus seeking an interim injunction to restrain the PDP from conducting its national convention as scheduled.
