Election: APC chieftain demands party faithful bloc votes

Worried by they unimpressive performance of the All Progressive Congress in south west at the last presidential elections,party faithful have been charged to pro actively correct the questionable impression, by voting massively for APC in this Saturday gubernatorial and state assembly polls.

The Lagos APC Organizing Secretary and Director of Mobilization for Sanwoolu Babajide Campaign Organization, Alhaji Abdulahi Enilolobo gave the charge at the official commissioning of borehole sunk by Hon.Rasheed Makinde a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly,representing Ifako Ijaiye constituency II,at Ward E Adura Field Alagbado.

Enilolobo laments the abysmal performance, citing the fact that given the positive political fortune of the southwest in the current administration, the votes recorded is not commensurate.

“Makinde though a lawmaker went out of his way to afford you with this borehole, a social amenity beneficial to his constituents and we are very proud of him for his numerous efforts at making live more meaningful here in Ijaiye Ojokoro.
” However, I cease this opportunity to state that what we saw in terms of votes here is noting to write home about,we call on electorates here to reciprocate this good gesture by voting massively for our party on Saturday.
“All of us must be   a canvasser so that we can hit the set target,the Hausa’s and Igbo’s voted en masse, as Yoruba’s are we not happy with Vice President slot?
” Didn’t  he deal fairly with us?we need to redeem our image and make Asiwaju know that something happened back then.
“Lagos is aspiring for something bigger this time,so for a better chance in the national polity negotiation,  like Speaker of the House of the federal house of Representatives,we need be convincing enough”. Enilolobo said.

Earlier the Makinde campaign train paid a courtesy call on the largest Community Development Association in the constituency; ward E joint CDA comprising of 23CDA’s to solicit for their votes at Saturday polls,appreciating them for the bloc votes recorded in time past.
According to Makinde some dividend of democracy are visible in the area but for more of it, they need to keep supporting the APC.

” The election is here again,compared with the previous election were we recorded 58,000 votes from here alone,what we got in the presidential election was less encouraging, 33,000 votes.

“I urge us all to vote enmasse on Saturday for APC.
The Joint CDA Chairman Elder Oluwole Gbadamosi,called for the construction of Ayanwale access route and meeting of other needs in an area known as zone 2.
Mr.Fakoya Ariyo who was part of the CDA parley, called for intervention on the ongoing community project.
“Through communal efforts and grants received, we have done our drainage but still need some finishing touch.

The Ojokoro LCDA chairman Hon. Hameed Idowu Tijani however,promised to intervene on the matter before the end of March.

While in chat with newsmen on how importance of the gesture, Makinde ask the party faithful to expect much more dividend if he is re-elected.
“I am the CDA chairman of Abule Egba west having took a censor of my constituents demands and pipe borne water top the list,  I sunk eleven boreholes across all the seven wards of the constituency.
“We would do more if they double the votes on Saturday.
The Ojokoro Grassroots football Association were also on hand to bestow the legislator with an award for good representation at the state legislature.
The lead coach  Adeshina in his plea to the electorates,urge them all to cast their votes for Makinde on Saturday even as he also tabled the needs of his association.

“Water is essential,water is live and quite beneficial to everyone,we get refreshed here after our trainings.
” I urge all of us to vote for him,so that we can benefit more,we at the association level need a secretariat,if you come here Saturday and Sunday,close to 4000 spectators watch our matches.
“We also want to host a regular Hon.Makinde’s cup tournament here”. Adeshina demands.
