ESOCS Church celebrates 6th induction anniversary of Prelate, Bob-Manuel

The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church worldwide has rolled out drums to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the enthronement of His Most Eminence, Dr. David.L Bob-Manuel as the Supreme head, Moses Orimolade IX and Prelate of the church.

Dr. Bob-Manuel was inducted as the Prelate and Supreme head of ESOCS on September 10, 2017 at the church’s headquarters to mark the 92nd anniversary of the church.

In his welcome address at press conference in Lagos to herald activities marking his 6th induction anniversary, Senior Apostle General and Secretary to the ESOCS Church worldwide, His Eminence, Elder Dr. Napo Emuchay, said the church has witnessed giant stride in several respects including spiritually, morally, socially and in terms of infrastructural development across all provinces worldwide since the Baba Aladura was enthroned in 2017.

“The landmark accomplishments have helped in repositioning the Church in many areas of our existence as a church of God, and among the comity of Churches in Nigeria and across the globe.

He said several programmes have been lined up to celebrate His Most Eminence 6th induction, including several empowerment programmes, Dinner party, spiritual upliftments and grand thanksgiving service at the Mount Zion National Headquarters Cathedral on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Earlier in the address, Dr. Bob-Manuel said in the last six years, the Church of God has witnessed an upsurge in development of cathedrals and physical structures, noting that the drive for evangelism and winning souls for Christ which he said is the primary goal of the Church.

He said under his leadership, evangelism has continued to take its prime position in the scheme of things in the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim.

“I implored all faithful’s of the Holy Order and Christians at large to be alive in Christ in holiness and works of righteousness in order to put to end the works of the flesh as detailed in Galatians 5:19-21.”

Commenting on national issues, Dr. Bob-Manuel urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to empower security architectures and agencies in the country to tackle the rising insecurity in Nigeria.

“Once a larger percentage of the youths are gainfully employed and moved out of the poverty bracket, it will drastically reduce bandits’ cells and vulnerable citizens. Also, security must be kept out of politics and modern technologies deployed to fight criminals.

He also implored the federal government to urgently implement social safety net programs to protect the vulnerable population from the impact of higher fuel prices following the removal of subsidy on petroleum products.

“The government should also create public awareness programs in educating the citizens on the reasons behind subsidy removal and the long-term benefits for a more efficient and transparent energy market.”

On the issue of unemployment, Baba Aladura Bob-Manuel advised the federal government to review and reform labour market regulations to make it easier for businesses to thrive and provide job security for workers.

“Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through access to finance, training and infrastructure stimulates job creation and entrepreneurship to enhance productivity and reduce criminality to the barest minimum,” he added.
