Ex-Eaglets star Idowu, Aniefiok join FC Palanga in Lithuania

Ex-Eaglets star Akinjide Idowu, Godspower Aniefiok has joined FC Palanga in Lithuania, National Daily learnt.
The two played for Nigeria at the U23 level before they signed a two-year contract with FC Palanga in Lithuania.
London-based agent Akorede Hutman, who brokered the deal, explained that “both players have signed for Palanga, who are fighting to remain in the top league of Lithuania.
Idown told National Daily that he is very grateful to God for another opportunity to showcase his talent .
“I believe the new players will help the team to stay top on their game,” he said.
Aniefiok, who played for Akwa United and Kano Pillars in the NPFL, featured at the 2015 U23 AFCON, which Nigeria won to qualify for the Rio Olympics in 2016.
Idowu has played for both the U17 and U20s under coach Manu Garba.
At a point, he also tried his luck in the USA.
