Fani-Kayode reacts to Akpabio’s emergence as Senate President
All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed that the emergence of Godswill Akpabio as president of the 10th Senate was a victory for President Bola Tinubu.
National Daily earlier reported that the Akwa Ibom South-West Senator on Tuesday, defeated Zamfara West Senator Abdul’aziz Yari to emerge the new senate president.
He polled 63 votes to defeat his only rival, Aziz Yari who got 46 votes.

However, Fani-Kayode, an APC chieftain, in a tweet, claimed that the victory was for Tinubu and the ruling party.
He wrote, “Congratulations to our new Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio and our new Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin.
“This is yet another great victory for our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for our great party, the APC. Glory be to God”!
