A horrific road accident on Tuesday night claimed the lives of 16 people along the Ondo-Ore Expressway in Odigbo Local Government Area.
Three others sustained injuries in the collision.
The accident involved a head-on collision between an 18-passenger Toyota Hiace bus and a truck.
The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to catch fire, resulting in the tragic loss of 16 lives.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander, Ibitoye Samuel, attributed the accident to wrongful overtaking and excessive speed.

The rescue operation at the accident scene concluded at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
This incident follows a similar accident in Ogun State, where a truck crushed two people to death in the Papalanto area.
