FCT police arrest suspect for killing man over marriage plans with woman he supported financially
The FCT Police Command has arrested a notorious gang leader, Abubakar Idris (also known as Nishi), along with his accomplices, Buhari Saidu and Musa Ahmadu Suleiman, for the gruesome murder of Ibrahim Danfulani.
A statement released by the police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, indicated that the incident, which occurred on November 27, 2024, was triggered by Nishi’s intense frustration over Ibrahim’s intentions to marry a woman in whom Nishi had heavily financially invested. The investigation revealed that the trio, armed with knives, brutally attacked Ibrahim, leading to his untimely death.
In addition to this serious crime, the gang stole 18 cows belonging to the victim. This theft was motivated by Nishi’s belief that he had suffered financially due to his anger towards Ibrahim. By stealing the cows, the gang attempted to justify their actions as compensation for perceived losses, highlighting Nishi’s deep sense of entitlement and its influence on their violent behavior.
