Finally, Marcus Rashford makes Manchester United decision after meeting with PSG
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will see the curtain of his playing career drawn to a close at the end of the current season especially if the Red Devils fail to trigger the 12-month extension before that point to retain the England international at Old Trafford to at least keep him until 2024.
Rashford became the youngest English player to score in his first senior international match when he scored on his England debut in May 2016. Remarkably, the 25-year-old played at the UEFA Euro 2016 as the tournament’s youngest player.
There is no doubt that the Manchester born forward who took his tally for the season to seven goals has enjoyed a blistering career with the Red Devils when he scored his 100th goal for the club during a 1-0 win against West Ham United on Sunday.

Rashford took his tally for the season to seven goals – which is two more than he enjoyed in the entirety of the last campaign.
The attacker who represented England at both the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2020. Rashford would be free to speak to clubs from January 1st if United do not trigger that extension.
Meanwhile, National Daily learned that United would rather prefer to open talks over a new long-term deal instead of simply triggering that extension as a way of showing the striker that he is firmly part of their plans.
It will be recalled that Rashford endured a torrid 12 months before Erik ten Hag’s appointment and his representatives met with Paris Saint-Germain before the season started with a view to discussing a move to the French capital.
However, National Daily can confirm that Rashford will like to remain at Old Trafford after his ability to rediscover his best form under the Ten Hag following the claim by the Daily Mail.
Rashford admitted after Sunday’s win that he wasn’t in the right ‘head space’ last season but he feels in a better position now.
‘To be honest, there is a completely different energy around the whole club, the training ground and that puts me in a better head space — I feel really motivated now,’ said Rashford.
‘I struggled at times last season — more mental things, not my own performance. It was other things off the pitch. Too often last season I wasn’t in the right head space.
‘I need to be scoring a few more headers. For me it is about getting in the areas and goals will come.’
