Fire reportedly guts popular Lagos bank
There was a fire outbreak at a branch of Zenith Bank on Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos state, on Wednesday morning, May 3, 2023.
This was announced by the director of Lagos fire service, Margaret Adeseye, in a statement.
She said the agency and rescue service were at the scene of the incident to put out the fire reported around 7:25 am.
She further stated that the fire was contained before it could cause “any meaningful damage.”
“On arrival at the scene, which was reported at 07:25 hours, it was discovered that a room on the ground floor of a four-storey building housing the alternative power source inverter panels and batteries was on flame,” Adeseye said.
