Former president’s workers kidnapped by gunmen
Three men to believed to be members of staff of a holding belong to a former president of Nigeria have been kidnapped .
According to police, the workers were abducted around 6 pm on Wednesday at Kobape, under Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state.
Locals identified the victims as staff of the Obasanjo Farms, which include the company’s Financial Controller, the Group Auditor and the Group Store Manager were the victims of the incident.
The Hilux truck the workers were riding in was shot at, and the unidentified gunmen dragged the occupants out into the bush.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.
According to him, the incident happened around 6pm on Wednesday.
“There is one Obasanjo farm around the area in Kobape,” he added.
“Our men have begun searching for them and we will ensure they are rescued.”
