Gov. Isiaku alerts Taraba under threat of Boko Haram invasion
Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has raised red alert that the state is under threat of Boko Haram invasion, acquainting residents of the encroachment of Boko Haram terrorists into the territory.
Governor Ishaku urged Taraba residents to refrain from indiscriminate accommodation of strangers in their communities.
Governor Ishaku assenting to the 2022 budget presented by the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joseph Kunini, further cautioned traditional rulers against aiding criminals in their domain.
Governor Ishaku directed traditional rulers and host communities in the state to be security conscious and be vigilant to make surer Boko Haram terrorists are not sharing residence with them.
He enjoined security operatives to be proactive in securing the porous borders across the state in northeast Nigeria and sharing boundary with Cameroon.
