Gunmen abduct three police officers in Ogun
Three police officers have been abducted by unknown gunmen hours after landing in Ogun State on a covert investigation assignment from Lagos.
According to the commercial driver who was conveying them at the time of the incident, and was able to escape, the three officers were allegedly approached by unidentified gunmen around 21:30 pm and whisked away.
Sources said the police officers were kidnapped on Thursday at Wasinmi, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
It was learnt that the cops arrived Ogun State from Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos State, and formally booked at the Police Division in Wasinmi before leaving for the place of primary assignment but never made it to the location.
