Gunmen attack textile shop in Aba, shoot one
A warehouse located opposite St. Michael’s Anglican Church, along St. Michael’s road, Aba, Abia State, was on Monday night attacked by rootless gang of robbers and carted away cash.
It was learnt that the money was the proceeds of daily sale from customers.
Driving in a commercial tricycle, the gunmen after grabbing the cash still went ahead to shoot one of the workers but was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
A witness explained that shortly after the robbers arrived and shot into the air, people scrapped for safety while the criminals looted the cash in the warehouse.
National Daily further gather that the execution of the operation was with precision, an indication that they might have carried out surveillance of the area and knew what they wanted and how to get it.
It was learnt that owner of the warehouse deals with clothes and had only stocked his shop over the weekend before the robbers struck Monday night.
The incident was later reported to the police station.
