I have not been suspended – Usani
The Minister of Niger Delta affairs, Pastor Usani Usani, has said that he has not been suspended by the All Progressives Congress, APC, contrary to the report of his suspension. He stated that the national chairman of the party Adams Oshiomole is out to destroy the APC.
Usani who spoke through the Director General of his governorship campaign organization, Ekpenyong Cobham, said he has not received any notification from any organ of the party regarding any form of suspension.
The minister said no one should use the back door to remove him from the party, as he is a foundation member. He explained that the purported suspension was to tarnish his image.
The national working committee of APC had last Friday after a meeting presided over by the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole suspended Usani, alongside other top members of the party for anti-party activities.
He urged the public to disregard reports of what he called his suspension rumors, saying it is intended to diminish the fortunes of the APC in the upcoming elections.
