I used my head to steal anything from victims, says Pickpocket
By OKOSUN DENNIS
A notorious pickpocket has been apprehended by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command, for picking people’s valuables at Ikeja.
The suspect, popularly known as ‘Dayo Skippo,’ told the RRS during interrogation that he had been picking pockets for a long time noting that the current economic situation lured him into crime.
The secondary school dropout further explained that all he needed to do was to have the slightest physical contact with his victim and their valuables would be gone.
“I can use my head to remove anything from your body. I will just pretend as if I know you somewhere and in the process of giving you salutations, your item will be gone,” he explained.
He also confessed that he had a gang he operated with in case the victim became suspicious, adding they would quickly swing into action.
National Daily gathered that one of his victims, who narrated his encounter with the suspect, said, “I went to Computer Village, Ikeja to see a friend. On my way to the bus park, I just noticed that someone hugged me from behind and later apologized to me when I told him I didn’t know him.
