Iran denies sending drones to Russia for war in Ukraine
Iran has denied sending drones to Russia to support the war in Ukraine. Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, on the Foreign Ministry website on Tuesday said that Iran never delivered drones to Russia to deploy in the war in Ukraine.
Kanaani stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers news published on the delivery of (Iran’s) drones to Russia for use in the Ukraine conflict as baseless and does not confirm it.
“Since the beginning of the (Ukraine) conflict, we have always announced our principled and clear policy on active impartiality and opposition to war.
“We underlined the necessity of a political resolution to disputes between the two sides, and away from violence.”
Iran called for peaceful resolution of the conflicts through dialogue.
