Iraq ships military equipment to Russia to fight in Ukraine
Russia is receiving munitions and military hardware from Iraq for its war effort in Ukraine, with the help of Iranian weapons smuggling networks, according to the UK Guardian.
Among the weapons are rocket-propelled grenades, anti-tank missiles, and Brazilian-designed rocket launcher systems, as well as an Iranian-made Bavar-373 missile system, similar to the Russian S-300 long-range surface-to-air missile system.
The newspaper said the information originated from Iranian-backed Iraqi militias and regional intelligence services with knowledge of the process.
