Gangs of heavily armed men, known locally as bandits have reportedly abducted the District Head of Kwangwami under Moriki Emirate of Zurmi Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State.
While comprehensive details of the attack are still sketchy, it was learned that the traditional ruler was abducted by the terrorists alongside an unspecified number of people around 10:30 am on Monday.

Many of the kidnapped locals were working on their farmlands when the gunmen invaded the farm.
The outlaws have wreaked havoc across northwest Nigeria in the past two years, kidnapping thousands, killing hundreds, and making it unsafe to travel by road or farm in some areas.
Despite the non-stop bombing of terrorist enclaves by Nigerian security agents, the criminals have not ceased to launch deadly attacks and take innocent civilians hostage.
