Just in: Raymond Dokpesi is dead

The Chairman of DAAR Communications Ltd, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, is dead. He was aged 75.

His son, Raymond Dokpesi (Jnr), disclosed that the media mogul and politician passed on this morning in Abuja after a brief illness

Only five months ago, he was briefly detained by Police at Heathrow Airport in London but was later released and asked to remain in the country till his next court date in April this year.

The media mogul, who was Deputy Director General of Technical and Systems of the Atiku Abubakar”s presidential campaign, was said to have suffered stroke.
