Just in: Supreme Court dismisses Oyetola’s appeal, affirms Adeleke’s election
The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the last governorship election in Osun State.
A five-man panel, in a judgment a moment ago, dismissed the appeal by former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) for lacking in merit.

The apex court affirmed the March 25 judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja which earlier upheld Adeleke’s victory.
The Appeal Court had, in its judgement, set aside an earlier judgment by the Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which held in favour of Oyetola and sacked Adeleke.
