Kegites confer club’s eternal honor on Obasanjo, ready for ex-president’s next birthday
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been conferred with the Eternal Grand Patron (EGP) by the Kegites Club.
Led by Chief Samson Akinoso, a delegation including Chiefs Semiu Ayinla, Alo Edward, Olusoji Akanbi, Olu Atesebi, Segun Ganna, John Oyelowo, Olusoji Jacobs and others came to give him the title.
They also sympathized with him over the destruction of his farm in Benue.
In his remark, Obasanjo expressed appreciation for Kegites’ participation in his 2021 birthday celebration.
He also invited them to his 85th birthday on March 5.
For the occasion, Obasanjo recommended a discourse on moral decadence among the youth demography in Nigeria.
“Baba approved the invitation of Ooni of Ìfẹ to this year’s birthday. He promised to invite his friends and associates”, Jacobs said.
Kegites are members of campus frat who promote the African tradition of palmwine drinking as a social identity.
