Kogi government commends appointment of Samuel Adeyemi Olumode as Controller General of Federal Fire Service
The Kogi State Government has congratulated Samuel Adeyemi Olumode on his recent appointment as the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, describing the development as a well-earned recognition of professionalism, dedication, and competence.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved Olumode’s appointment earlier this week, a decision that has been widely praised across Kogi State.
In an official statement issued on Wednesday, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, disclosed the appointment underscores President Tinubu’s confidence in the ability of Kogi indigenes to contribute meaningfully to national development.
“The Kogi State Government, on behalf of the people of the state, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Samuel Adeyemi Olumode on his well-deserved appointment as Controller General of the Federal Fire Service,” the statement read.

“This is a clear recognition of his unwavering commitment, professionalism, and outstanding service. We are grateful to President Tinubu for his continued trust in the competence of Kogi sons and daughters.”
Fanwo expressed optimism that Olumode’s leadership will drive critical reforms and improvements within the Federal Fire Service, noting that his appointment is a source of pride for the entire state.
He further stated that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is confident that Olumode’s new role will elevate Kogi’s image on the national stage and pledged the full support of the state government throughout his tenure.
“We wish Samuel Adeyemi Olumode a successful and impactful term in office,” the statement concluded.
Olumode, a native of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, brings years of experience and leadership to his new position at the helm of the Federal Fire Service.
