Lagos Assembly forwards Y2022 stakeholders parley report, tasks Sanwo-Olu on INEC
The Lagos State House of Assembly has sent the Y2022 Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting report to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to facilitate its incorporation in the Y2023 Budget.
The house considered the stakeholders parley’s report at Thursday plenary presided by the Deputy Speaker Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, the governor was equally urged to speak to Lagos INEC Director to make 2023 election seamless.
This was sequel a motion moved by the Majority Leader Hon. Sanai Agunbiade (Ikorodu 1) for the consideration of the Y2022 Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting Report, as lawmakers took turns to give a snippet of how it went down in their various constituencies.
The report that emanated from the town hall parley themed: imperative of Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) in the 2023 elections, contains the compilations of the developmental yearnings of constituents across the forty constituencies and three senatorial districts of the state was considered to ensure its incorporation in the next fiscal document of the state.
Blazing the trail Hon. Bisi Yusuff representing Alimosho 01 said his people called for the repair of some roads in Alimosho to make movement around the area more seamless.
Hon. Adedamola Kasumu ( Ikeja 2) in his own contribution also note the need for rehabilitation of some roads in his constituency likewise the need to provide adequate security owing to existence of some black spots within the area where people of questionable character subsists.
Olayiwola Olawale representing Mushin Constituency II also hinted that certain roads demand repairs coupled the need to renovate Itire secondary school.
He said, “The program makes us have a cordial relationship with our constituents”.
