Late Sir Victor Uwaifo begins final journey to eternal home
The late music legend, Sir Victor Efosa Uwaifo, on Friday began his final journey to the mother earth in Benin City, Edo State, South-South Nigeria. Uwaifo, who is being accorded state burial by the Edo State government, having been a commissioner in the state, had his remains lying in state at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The Chief of Staff to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Osaigbovo Iyoha, had in a statement
penultimate week disclosed that the Edo State Government will give Sir Victor Uwaifo a state burial.
Victor Uwaifo died on August 28, 2021, at the age of 80 years.
