Mysterious fire outbreak hits Kano market
Strange fire on Saturday morning hit the Mohammed Abubakar Rimi Market (popularly known as Sabo Gari Market) in Kano destroying property worth millions of naira.
The incident was said to have started about 2.00am, affected shops at A, B and C zones of the market that sells foot wears.

It was learnt that the immediate cause of the fire was attributed to a power transformer within the market.
Efforts are presently being made by the officers of the fire service to arrest the fire.
The state’s commissioner of environment, Alhaji Ali Haruna Makoda has since announced the suspension of the monthly sanitation exercise to allow rescue efforts at the market.
