Naval officers arrested for allegedly stabbing Police officer to death in Lagos
Two Navy personnel have been arrested in Lagos for allegedly stabbing a Police ASP to death at the satellite town area of Lagos State.
The circumstances surrounding the stabbing to death of the police officer identified as Abion Hezikel were still sketchy at press time but sources said the deceased was in company with his team of the anti- robbery section and were on routine patrol at Oluti when they ran into the navy personnel; four of them riding on a motor bike.

It is not clear what led to their disagreement but the naval officers who have been identified as S/NO. 20507 Onyekachi Egwumian, 27, S/NO. 16933 Ebube Growth, 28, and two others who are currently at large allegedly attacked the officers and in the process stabbed ASP Hezekiel in his chest with a jack knife as well as injured three others who tried to mediate during the disagreement.
The Divisional Police Officer of Satellite town was immediately alerted and he mobilized for the injured officer and the three others to be rushed to the Adeyemi Private hospital in Satellite town where the officer was confirmed dead. The other injured persons were treated and discharged.
It was not possible to get the reaction of the Command’s PRO Sp Ben Hundeyin on the incident but sources said the military authorities have been contacted while the corpse has been deposited at the IDH morgue Yaba. The motorcycle on which they rode as of the time of incident had been taken into custody.
