Niger Republic will defend me after I leave office if… — President Buhari
With six days to go, President Muhammadu Buhari says he has built personal cordial relationship with the neighbouring countries, stressing should anyone disturb him or if trouble arises, his Niger Republic neighbours will defend him.
President Buhari who spoke on Tuesday during the inauguration of the N19.6 billion Nigeria Customs Service Corporate headquarters in Abuja, said, “I try to plan to be as far away from Abuja as possible.
I came from an area which is far away from Abuja.” Although, he said he would prefer to stay in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, Northwest Nigeria, however, “if anybody with force moves, I have good relationship with my neighbours. Niger people will defend me.”
