Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim, enforces self-quarantine on return from UK
A Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim, on Friday confined herself to isolation after arriving from the United Kingdom (UK).
Ikpe-Etim on her twitter handle wrote: “Yesterday, in the morning, I returned to Lagos from the UK – one of the countries listed as a COVID-19 hotspot by the Federal Ministry of Health.
“I am presently in Self-Isolation according to the directives of the NCDC (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control) and in constant communication with them.
“However, I will maintain my isolation and keep people at bay till the coast is clear.
“I hope everyone is responsible enough to do the same.”
The actress, however, noted that she was not displaying any symptoms of the coronavirus but had to comply with government directive on preventive measures.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, had directed all visitors arriving the country should -quarantine themselves for at least 14 days so as to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
