Notorious ritualist arrested in Oyo State
Amotekun Corps in Oyo State has apprehended two individuals, Ganiyu Maruf & Bashiru Basit, from being lynched by an enraged mob on Thursday after they were discovered to be in possession of two human skulls.
According to reports, the suspects were apprehended while attempting to retrieve the skills they had stashed in a sack in a bush in the Agunpopo neighborhood.
Maruf, one of the accused, claimed to have paid N30,000 for the skull that he and Basit intended to use for money ritual.
According to report, Amotekun had noticed earlier through its surveillance team that some men would go into the bush and emerge with a cellophane bag & leave.
This was said to have prompted the planting of some people there to keep watch. Early on Thursday, at about 6.30 a.m the suspects were said to have arrived in the area & when queried by the residents, they could not give a convincing explanation
