NPFL reschedules match day 16 between Akwa united and Bendel insurance
The NPFL has rescheduled the Match Day 16 fixture between Akwa United and Bendel Insurance due to a clash with the CAF Confederation Cup match between Enyimba FC and Zamalek SC.
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has rescheduled the Match Day 16 between Akwa United FC of Uyo and Bendel Insurance FC of Benin to Monday, Dec. 9.
The match was initially scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8. at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
The rearrangement is contained in a letter dated Dec. 3 and signed by Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer of the league.
According to the NPFL, the change of date is as a result of the CAF Confederation Cup match between Enyimba FC and Zamalek SC of Egypt billed for the same stadium on the same day.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance may be honouring day 16 match without their captain, Meyiwa Oritseweyinmi, who is currently in the Super Eagles Team B camp in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun state.
The home based Eagles are in the camp in preparation for the CHAN qualifiers against Ghana.
