Osimhen secures specific break clause in Galatasaray loan deal
In a dramatic development, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is set to join Galatasaray on loan, with a deal finalized that includes a detailed break clause.
The Nigerian forward, whose transfer will be officially completed tonight, is expected to land in Istanbul just after midnight local time. Fans are already gearing up to welcome him at the airport.
The arrangement sees Osimhen moving to Galatasaray on a free loan, with the Turkish club covering his substantial salary of over €10 million per season.

However, for the loan to proceed, Osimhen must first extend his contract with Napoli until June 2027. This move is designed to protect Napoli’s position in any future transfer negotiations, ensuring they are not left with a weakening bargaining stance.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that the agreement includes a break clause that could potentially allow Osimhen to leave Galatasaray in January. This clause is believed to be triggered only if one of 10 specific clubs shows interest in signing him.
While Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are likely candidates on this list, Chelsea’s involvement is uncertain, particularly since the club reportedly offered Osimhen a contract with a lower base salary and performance-related bonuses.
The clause also potentially reduces the previously agreed transfer fee from €130 million to €75 million, should Osimhen’s move be finalized under these specific circumstances.
