Pat Utomi reacts to diaspora support for Peter Obi; knocks APC, PDP (Video)
Professor Pat Utomi has reacted to the diaspora funding of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi during an interview with Channels Television.
He alleged that the candidates of the APC and the PDP once shared the US Dollar in Nigeria sometime ago but none of them were jailed, but they are walking freely.
Utomi said this after Channels Television asked him what he thinks about any presidential candidate getting funds as support from diasporas outside the country.
The presenter also remind him that there are implications attached to getting support from diasporas outside the country for political reasons. Pat Utomi on the other hand reminded them that the candidates of the APC and the PDP once shared the US dollar during an election.
If getting support from the diaspora is wrong, then why would someone who shared a foreign currency in Nigeria not get arrested and jailed? Someone who diaspora has decided to support him, they said that it is an offense, but some politicians shared foreign currencies in Nigeria because of political reasons, but nothing was done to him.
Pat Utomi also disclosed that diasporas are Nigerians who are willing to take back their country, so they are willingly donating their money to support their preferred presidential candidate and he doesn’t see anything wrong with that.
