PDP protests conduct of supplementary Election in Bauchi

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has protested the turn of event in when the electoral umpire is preparing to supplementary election in Bauchi State as demanded by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. The PDP, therefore, demanded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to immediately suspend supplementary elections in Bauchi State until results in Tafawa Balewa are collated.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan revealed in Abuja that the party has written to INEC to explain how it intends to conduct supplementary elections in the state without Tafawa Balewa Local Government results.
The PDP wants INEC to know that the number of those with permanent voters cards is in the public domain and any attempt to manipulate elections in states where supplementary elections will hold, will be resisted.
PDP also said it got wind of plans to deploy 30 Department of State Services, DSS, personnel and 300 mobile policemen to states where supplementary polls will hold.
