Police bust child trafficking syndicate, rescue 24 babies, 4 pregnant teenagers
The Nigerian Police have uncovered child trafficking syndicate operating baby factory in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, in a statement indicated that members of the syndicate have been arrested. He disclosed that the Police recovered 24 babies and rescued 4 pregnant teenagers.
The PPRO decried that the babies and pregnant teenagers are malnourished. He said that they are receiving treatment at the hospital. The Police told residents whose babies are missing to check the rescues babies for identification and collection.
