Presidency 2023: Tinubu encroaches on Atiku’s structure, captures three blocs
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has begun the political game of his tradition, encroaching on the structure of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, winning over three support blocs.
National Daily gathered that three support structure of Atiku, which include members of the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), Muslim/Christian Youths, and Elders’ Forum, and Genuine Governance Group (GGG), representing special interests in the north, committed their support to Tinubu in the preparations for the 2023 general elections.
The PDM was formed by late Major General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua in 1994 and metamorphose into the PDP in 1998.
Leader of the group, Frank Igwebuike, and the national secretary, Maimunat Ahmadu, stated on Tuesday that after study of the political environment, members of the defunct PDM resolved to give their support to Tinubu.
According to Igwebuike, “In times like these, only great men can be called to help in bringing forth good governance and protection of our collective patrimony.”
