Presidency 2023: Tinubu frets over Obasanjo’s close relationship with Obi, runs to Abeokuta

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, maybe developing phobia over perceived close relationship between the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, thus, running to Abeokuta, Ogun State to see the face of the former president in the preparations for the  2023  elections.

Accordingly, the APC presidential candidate, Tinubu, who had ignored Obasanjo during his consultations across the country before the presidential primary  of the APC, was at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to solicit the support of the former President.

Tinubu had arrived the Presidential Library in his chopper at about 1.09pm, accompanied by Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, former Governor Gbenga Daniel, former Governor Segun Osoba, among others.

Former President Obasanjo had penultimate week, hosted the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library deliberated on issues relating   to the   2023 general elections, essentially, the presidential race.

There were insinuations that Dr. Obasanjo is supporting Obi in the 2023 presidential election and has been lobbying some governors and political leaders across the country to buy into the Obi/Datti joint ticket.
