President Tinubu meets with APC governors amid nationwide strike threat
President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a meeting with governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Aso Rock Villa.
This discussion comes just days before a planned nationwide strike over the economic challenges facing the country.
The strike is scheduled to begin in the first week of August, driven by public discontent over the recent removal of the petrol subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange rate, which have led to soaring inflation.

Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo State and chair of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), and AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, governor of Kwara State and chair of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), are leading the APC governors in the presidential villa.
Governors Uba Sani of Kaduna, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, and Hyacinth Alia of Benue were also seen arriving for the meeting.
There have been concerns about the potential for the protests to be hijacked by hoodlums, leading to calls for reconsideration or postponement of the planned demonstrations.
