Putin threatens Russia may embark on missile strikes on govt buildings in Ukraine, extending to U.S.
President Vladimir Putin of Russia has revealed that “Russia is considering striking government buildings in Ukraine with hypersonic missiles that could also potentially reach the U.S.”
According to him, “Russia will use ‘all means of destruction’ if Ukraine gets nuclear weapons.”
Putin stated this in response to US media reports that the administration of President Joe Biden had deliberated on supplying nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
President Putin, in Kazakhstan on Thursday stated that he has no preconditions for start of peace talks with Ukraine , insisting that the terms he set out in June for an actual deal remained unchanged.
President Putin had in June said that Russia would end the war in Ukraine only if Kyiv agreed to drop its NATO ambitions and hand over the entirety of four provinces claimed by Russia.
According to Putin, “I did not formulate preliminary conditions, I did not say that the preliminary conditions for the start of negotiations are such and such,” he said today.
“I simply spoke about our conditions for peace.”
President Putin also said he is ready to begin dialogue with the US; he noted that Donald Trump is a “smart politician who is capable of finding a solution”.
